Gift Opportunity

The outstanding faculty and students in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology at the VCU Medical Center (i.e., the Medical College of Virginia Campus) are in an excellent position to make significant contributions to the advancement of science and the community. Our future looks bright, and we expect continued success in basic medical research discoveries and in the training of the next generation of scientists. Our program is competitive enough to be supported by an NIH Training Grant. However, funds are in short supply for so many of our worthy research activities, especially those that directly affect our graduate students. We are now looking to our alumni and friends for help. Contributions are greatly needed to help support our Graduate Training Programs in the following areas:

  • The Seminar Program in Microbiology & Immunology
  • Student Research Travel Awards
  • Student Research Recognition Awards
  • Funds for Student Recruitment
  • Funds for Shared Equipment
  • Research Retreats
  • Gap Funding for young faculty to maintain support of their students

 Can you help?
